There are no coincidences when it comes to the Princess of Wales’s fashion choices – much like her decision to rewear a closet staple for Christmas church service this morning.
While the future Queen was typically stylish, royal watchers noticed a special detail in her outfit that sends a message of hope after Catherine’s tumultuous cancer journey.
The mother-of-three attended the service wearing the same brown, windowpane-check coat that she picked for a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital – where she underwent chemotherapy treatment in 2024.
Catherine, 43, joined King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, their three children, and other senior royals for their annual Christmas church service at St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham today.
It was during the January outing that Catherine also announced she was in remission from an undisclosed form of cancer, while thanking the doctors and nurses for their ‘care, support and compassion’.
By repurposing the Blaze Milano coat, Catherine appears to be looking to the future with renewed optimism as she continues a steady return to public life after her health battles.
The Princess of Wales put on a dazzling display today as she accepted bouquets of flowers from well-wishers and posed for photographs alongside her husband William, 43, and their three children, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.

Royal fans were moved to tears as they watched Catherine and daughter Charlotte perform a ‘special’ piano duet to kick off the annual service at Westminster Abbey which was broadcast on ITV on Christmas Eve.
They opted to play Holm Sound by Erland Cooper – a Scottish composer and producer from the Orkney Islands – during the segment that was filmed in the Inner Hall at Windsor Castle.
The choice of composition was especially poignant as Cooper’s work is inspired by nature and connection – themes which are of deep importance to the princess in the wake of her cancer journey.
