Jack Osbourne has revealed that members of the Osbourne family have been experiencing remarkably similar dreams about Ozzy Osbourne in the months following the heavy metal pioneer’s death.
Ozzy, the co-founder of Black Sabbath and one of the most influential figures in rock history, died in July at age 76. His death came just weeks after a star-studded farewell concert in his hometown of Birmingham, a final celebration of a career that helped define an entire genre.
“He’s Laughing Every Time”
Speaking with Billy Morrison during an interview on SiriusXM, Jack described a series of recurring dreams shared by multiple family members in which his father appears healthy, animated, and amused.
“We all keep having dreams about him. In the dreams, he is laughing,” Jack said. “And he is saying, ‘Just stop f***ing crying’. He’s laughing every time.
“Me and my wife, my daughters, all the same thing. We keep seeing him in our dreams, laughing.”
Morrison added that he, too, had dreamed about Ozzy, offering reassurance to the family. “He’s good, Jack. He’s not in pain,” he said.
The moments, Jack suggested, feel less like ordinary dreams and more like reminders of Ozzy’s irreverent humor — a personality trait that defined both his public persona and private life.

A Farewell Marked by Music and Memory
Medical records later confirmed that Ozzy died from a heart attack, with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease listed as contributing factors. His passing came 17 days after the Birmingham farewell concert, a symbolic closing chapter in a career rooted deeply in the city where Black Sabbath was formed.
In December, Ozzy’s youngest daughter, Kelly Osbourne, shared a deeply personal tribute on Instagram to mark what would have been his 77th birthday.
“Happy birthday daddy you most certainly did not die an ordinary man!” she wrote. “Life without you is hard but not a day goes by that I don’t dedicate my life to loving you and your legacy!
“I miss you more than anything in the world. I love you until eternity! What I would not give to watch you blow out just one more candle.”
Kelly is the youngest child of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, who are also parents to daughter Aimee and son Jack.

Birmingham, Belonging, and a Lasting Legacy
In a previous interview with BBC Radio West Midlands, Kelly spoke candidly about the scale of the loss and the deep connection her father maintained with his hometown.
“To see the outpouring of love, and respect, and condolence, and just everything this city has given him, is beyond words,” she said. “Birmingham meant everything to my father. It made him, it shaped him. It turned him into the one-of-a-kind man that he was.
“He was the people’s person,” she added. “He never changed. He never thought he was better than anyone else.”
Those sentiments have taken on added resonance in the wake of Ozzy’s passing. While his legacy as the Prince of Darkness is firmly cemented in the history of heavy metal, the reflections shared by his family point to a more intimate portrait — one of a man who remained grounded despite global fame, whose humor endured even in memory, and whose presence continues to linger in both music and imagination.
For the Osbourne family, the dreams may offer a strange comfort: a reminder that Ozzy’s spirit — defiant, mischievous, and unmistakably his own — refuses to fade quietly. And for fans, they echo a familiar truth about the artist himself: even in absence, Ozzy Osbourne still knows how to command the room, crack a grin, and tell everyone to carry on.
