Ozzy Osbourne Family Issues Statement

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman and one of the most iconic voices in rock history, died at the age of 76 in July 2025. His family announced his passing in a public statement shortly after.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time,” the statement read.

The news of Ozzy’s death came just weeks after his farewell show. During the performance, he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

Although Ozzy had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his primary cause of death was listed as “out-of-hospital cardiac arrest.“

 

Osbourne Family Remembers Their Beloved Ozzy

Since his death, the Osbourne family has been doing their best to keep his memory alive and reflecting on special moments spent with Ozzy. On what would have been his 77th birthday, Sharon shared a sweet tribute in honor of the music legend.

“My darling husband, I celebrate the day you were born. I will never let go of your hand until I see you on the other side,” Sharon wrote.

She accompanied her message with a video set to his song “See You on the Other Side,” featuring photos from her and Ozzy’s life together.

 

Ozzy and Sharon’s daughter, Kelly, has also shared special memories with her father over the past year.

 

Sharon’s First Wedding Anniversary Without Ozzy

On July 4, Ozzy and Sharon would have celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary. Sharon shared a touching message for her late husband, saying the day was a “celebration of a love that even death could not diminish.”
