Many people aspire to be famous someday. From afar, it seems so appealing. Living in luxury, fans clamoring for your autograph, traveling in style throughout the globe. But there is also a very dark side to fame. Celebrities of all kinds tell unnerving stories of experiences with stalkers who threaten their and their families’ safety.
When you are in the public eye in some capacity, that type of hazard unfortunately can come with the territory. Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue knows that very well. He has had to deal with stalkers himself. Now, he understandably takes precautions, especially with his little girl.
Why Does Nikki Sixx Not Post Pics of His Daughter?
There is a good reason for the Motley Crue rocker’s reluctance to post images of his youngster. He was asked about it on X. Sixx, 67, replied with paternal protectiveness, “Because we’ve been stalked and our family has been threatened multiple times the last few years. Some are in jail now but Ruby [his daughter] doesn’t need to be exposed to millions of people, mostly cool fans but she is more important to us than posting photos and from experience,it’s proven to not be safe for her.”
He went on to note, “She deserves better. Thats me and @how2girl protecting her from mentally ill people. My older kids prefer their privacy as well. Good question.”
“We Are Locked and Loaded”
Nikki Sixx stands ready to protect his family. He isn’t tip-toeing around, either. One commenter on X advised him that when stalkers pose a problem or threat, “Don’t hesitate to call the police. Stalking is a crime and will bring greater security to your family.”
Sixx wrote that he is very well-prepared for any dangerous intrusion. He bluntly answered this person, “We have strong law enforcement relationships (as well as lawyers who have put stalkers in jail) but we also live in Wyoming on private property and we are locked and loaded and know our rights to protect our family. Nothing in my life matters more than my family.”
Fans Understand and Commend His Protectiveness
Many weighed in on Sixx’s post. They completely agreed with his strategy to safeguard his child. Some of them even do likewise even though they are not well-known.
“Absolutely necessary and important to keep Ruby safe. And yourselves as well.”
“That’s so sad you have to deal with this.”
“As every parent SHOULD do. Especially those family vloggers since that’s a thing, that should really be stopped too”
“Excellent choice, kids always come first. Some excellent parenting right there.”
“I don’t post my daughter online & I’m not even famous. It’s just not a wise thing to do in this day and age. There are far too many weirdos out there these days.”
