“KATE MADE ME CRY,” MEGHAN SAID BUT THAT WASN’T THE FULL STORY

Prince William ‘Furious’ After Meghan Markle Named Princess Kate — A Rift That Had Been Years in the Making

Prince William is said to have been deeply angered after Meghan Markle publicly named Princess Kate during a televised interview, reopening a private family dispute and intensifying an already fragile relationship between the future King and his sister-in-law.

In her interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan directly contradicted long-standing reports surrounding a disagreement ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry, insisting that it was Kate — not herself — who made her cry during a row over bridesmaid dresses for Princess Charlotte.

Royal biographer Penny Junor, speaking to People, said the move infuriated Prince William.

“William is extremely protective of Kate,” Junor said.
“He was furious about Meghan’s decision to name her publicly.”

A private disagreement made public

While Meghan maintained that Kate later apologised and sent flowers — and described her sister-in-law as “a good person” — royal sources insist that the public retelling distorted what had been a complex and emotional situation.

Several insiders have claimed that tensions ran both ways, with reports suggesting Meghan herself also upset Kate during the same period. One long-circulated account alleges that Meghan discarded flowers Kate had sent as a peace offering — a claim that further fuelled resentment within the family.
