Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a series of explosive allegations against the British Royal Family during their highly anticipated interview with Oprah Winfrey, revealing what they described as long-hidden tensions behind palace walls.
“No,” Meghan said. “The reverse happened.”
Meghan claimed it was Kate who had upset her, leaving her in tears shortly before the wedding. According to her account, the disagreement centred on fittings for the flower-girl dresses, including those worn by Princess Charlotte.
Although Meghan acknowledged that Kate later apologised and sent flowers, she said she remained deeply hurt by the way the story had been reported in the media, insisting that the narrative had been reversed — turning her from a victim into a villain.
Meghan went on to describe what she characterised as increasing pressure from within the Royal Family after she married Harry. She said that while she was initially welcomed, the situation deteriorated over time, leaving her feeling controlled, isolated and effectively silenced. According to Meghan, she was discouraged from speaking out or seeking help, creating what she described as a sense of being “trapped” within the institution.
