The 2026 BRITs paid a powerful tribute to the late British rock star Ozzy Osbourne, with the performance led by Robbie Williams and Ozzy’s former tour mates, Adam Wakeman, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde.
The supergroup performed a special arrangement of Ozzy’s 1991 hit “No More Tears,” which Sharon, Ozzy’s wife and manager, curated. The BRITs organization confirmed that Sharon had personally invited Robbie to take part, as a “long-standing fan of the music, and friend of the Osbourne family.”
Ozzy was honored with a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual awards show.
Sharon and her daughter Kelly took to the stage to accept the award, and an emotiomal Sharon said: “If Ozzy was here tonight with us, he’d be showing us that gorgeous smile, and I know he would be so proud to receive this from the country he loved.
“He may not be here, but he left us an amazing body of work that will never be forgotten by the country that made him.”
“Thank you for loving my father as much as we do, and I hope I don’t disrespect Manchester by saying this, but, ‘Up the Villa, and Birmingham forever!’” laughed Kelly.
Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee and Co-President of RCA Records at Sony Music UK, said: “Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music. Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed.
“This Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a remarkable legacy built on originality and enduring influence, that continues to connect with fans worldwide.”
Ozzy, the beloved Black Sabbath frontman once known as “The Prince of Darkness,” and a pioneer of heavy metal music and later of new-millennium reality TV, died at the age of 76 on July 22, 2025.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” a statement from the family read confirming his death in July 2025.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon, and children, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, Jessica, Louis, and Elliot. He shared Jessica and Louis with his ex-wife Thelma Riley, and he adopted her son Elliot from a previous relationship.
In January, Sharon was joined by Kelly, Aimée, and Jack at the 2026 Grammys, which also dedicated time for an emotional tribute to the singer.
Slash and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses, Andrew Watt, Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Post Malone played Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs,” honoring Ozzy, and the Osbourne family were seen in tears during the moment.
